The mission of Ken's Pro Shops is provide every customer with the best services that our pro shop can offer. To provide unmatched customer service to our customers and non-customers. To provide and demonstrate an in-depth product and technical knowledge of the bowling equipment we sell and service. To be an asset to the bowling center by showing value to its customers as well. To combine professional work habits with the drive and desire to promote the game we love.

 

About Us

In its brief history, Ken's Pro Shop has become a leading bowling pro shop in the Chicagoland area and is recognized by many industry observers as the one of the best. We are proud to be often imitated but NEVER duplicated.

It was started in 2006 by Ken Horvath who has over 45 years of bowling experience and during this time he has received many awards.  In his long bowling career he has bowled 46 perfect games (300) and has amassed thirty (30) 800 series.

Understanding the importance of having the appropriate credentials to be successful in the pro shop business, we applied for and received approval to join the prestigious  International Bowling Pro Shop and Instructors Association (IBPSIA) in 2005. After being approved, the pro shop received its technical certification in 2006 after completing a rigorous training program at an IBPSIA approved training center. After completing additional advanced training Ken received his IBPSIA Pro Shop Technician Certification in 2007. We are proud to be one of fifteen (15) Technically Certified Pro Shops in Illinois and Ken Horvath is even prouder to be one of only two (2) Technically Certified Technicians in Illinois.

Finally, consistent with our mission statement - to promote the game we love, Ken Horvath envisions being able to teach the game of bowling to our youth and collegiate bowlers. As such, Ken sought to obtain his USBC Coaching Certification and has been an USBC Certified Coach since 2006.

Our brief history clearly demonstrates our commitment to the sport of bowling. With our 45 years of experience in bowling and the technical certifications we possess,  we encourage you to stop by and check out our facilities.
